Double Dose of Chicago

Big news on the presentation front! After years of applying with no luck, I received word today that I’ll be presenting not once but twice as part of ASCD Empower 19 in Chicago next spring.

First as a solo presenter:

Dear John,

Thank you for your submission to ASCD Empower19. Following review by the Program Committee, we are pleased to inform you that your submission entitled ‘From Breakout to Break IN: REVERSE Escape Rooms Mean No Locks, No Boxes, and NO LECTURES!‘ has been selected as a concurrent session at Empower ’19 that will be held March 16-18, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois.

And then again as one half of a presenter pair with my good buddy Eric Russo.

Dear John,

Thank you for your submission to ASCD Empower19. Following review by the Program Committee, we are pleased to inform you that your submission entitled ‘A Closer Look at “Leading without Leaving:” Balancing the Benefits and Barriers of Hybrid Roles‘ has been selected as a concurrent session at Empower’19 that will be held March 16-18, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois.

As luck would have it, the annual conferences for ASCD and NCEA are both headed for Chicago for 2019. Put in a handful of proposals for NCEA and still waiting to hear back. But with some luck, I might just be making a second trip to the Second City before all is said and done.
