Season 3, Episode 10: Adapt and Overcome!

I’m a big believer in the notion that as teachers our enthusiasm can be infectious. So I recently planned a coast-to-coast challenge to fight a cause that’s near to my heart that would culminate with my presentation at ASCD’s Empower20 in Los Angeles. As the first leg of this journey, I spent a full day this weekend visiting The Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, hopping on board as many rides as I could in an effort to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research. But midway through our epic adventure, we received word that the ASCD Empower conference in California had been cancelled! Hear the full story of the lessons I’ve learned through this activity, and if you’re interested in making a donation, visit: https://pledgeit.org/coast-to-coast-challenge-to-fight-cystic-fibrosis

Recorded in bumper-to-bumper traffic to and from my daily work as a high school instructional coach just outside of Washington D.C., Talk to Mee in the Car is where a brainstorm and a good old-fashioned brain dump collide to help educators hone their skills and become leaner, meaner, 21st century teaching machines. Join me for a quick hitting 11(ish) minute episode every Monday for tips, tricks, and strategies to change the game in your classroom TODAY with high-energy, student-centered teaching that actually works.

Because one size fits all professional development simply doesn’t.
