It’s getting to that time of year again. Mid August means the dog days of summer are sniffing at our doorsteps. And in just a few short weeks — one way or another — teachers are heading back to schools. This week’s episode focuses on the ritual of Back to School season and how it has fundamentally shifted in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether you’re headed back into your physical classroom or whether you’ll be doing some form of online teaching for the fall, we’ve got a lot to pull together and only a few short weeks left to do it. So we’re diving into some suggestions on what all to pack into your teacher bag of tricks for a school year unlike any we’ve seen before.
Recorded in bumper-to-bumper traffic to and from my daily work as a high school instructional coach just outside of Washington D.C., Talk to Mee in the Car is where a brainstorm and a good old-fashioned brain dump collide to help educators hone their skills and become leaner, meaner, 21st century teaching machines. Join me for a quick hitting 11(ish) minute episode every Monday for tips, tricks, and strategies to change the game in your classroom TODAY with high-energy, student-centered teaching that actually works.
Because one size fits all professional development simply doesn’t.
